Dekrist,
That sounds like Tuscani. The scores seem to be higher with FICO. I am wondering after your profile simmers for awhile and there are no more dramatic changes whether fico scores eventually weigh in higher than the fako's.

Re: What is your score difference between MyFICO vs. FAKO True Credit

Smallfry,
That is what I find so weird my reports are different between bureaus (like most people due to creditors picking a choosing where they will report) but the corresponding reports are identical between fico and TC why a 40 point difference. For me it is consistent if TC updates by the time fico updates the diff is still approx 40 points. I want to know why I can't be opposite (at least for now) my TC is 40 points higher than fico that is significant that is the difference between being houseready and still sitting on the bench!

Most of us use both Truecredit and MYFICO to monitor our credit reports and scores..
I don't use both because of the high cost of MyFICO.
The TC "Fako" site gives you unlimited access to all three reoprts, scores and monitoring for $15.00 per month.

MyFICO, although probably a better indicator, costs $45.00 per run.
You get to do two FICO reports for the $45.00, but two is nowhere near unlimited.

Hope you used mw01 for the 20% off. Another poster who isn't getting any love from EQ.

Never saw anything about using mw01..thanks, will try that next time.

I would think with all the people here alone that have had problems with EQ, there would be talk of litigation. I'm not sue happy (never sued anyone in my 47 years) but..something like this causes very serious differences in what people qualify for as far as interest rates.

In the area I live (NorCal) , the average new mortgage is about 600-700K.
This "Little EQ Error" would add up to the difference between 6.196% and 7.512%
The payment difference would be $527.00 per month!
In California, that adds up to Grand Theft.

Again, as others have posted so many times, this is why is pays to pull all three CRs way before you might need to apply for credit. At best this takes over 30 days to clear up major mistakes like this.

In my case EQ shows an autoloan as CO, when it was actually Paid-In-Full when I traded the car in for a new one (I even had the Pink-Slip in my hand) . TU and EX show it proper, but EQ still shows it bad. Some dumb mistake like this is costing me close to 100 points on MyFICO, over 100 points on TC.

I have disputed the CO in both writting and email, but I don't expect any relief until the next cycle.

Re: What is your score difference between MyFICO vs. FAKO True Credit

No they arent reporting the same things. I have gotten a repo removed from my EX and like two collection accounts. There are more collection accounts reported on my EQ than the other two, there are two CC's reporting on my EX and they only report one on TU and EQ. I think that is the reasons for the big difference, right now. It should smooth out in about a month or three...once my disputes are done being investigated.

I have a question for you all. I have searched the board for a suitable GW letter for an auto repo that I had that was not repo'd because of late payments. It was repo'd because of no insurance. And as soon as it was auctioned off, I paid off the balance. How would you suggest I approach the credit union with this in a GW letter? I WAS 30 days late 2 times only.

Did you look over the example letter?

Re: What is your score difference between MyFICO vs. FAKO True Credit

Yes, but it speaks of getting back on good terms with timely payments and creating a better relationship with the creditor, but that was not the case. I was young and a credit abuser, my mom and step dad co-signed on the car that was repo'd and then when it was repo'd they were actually the ones who took out another loan to pay that one off. I have not spoken to the Credit Union in any way shape or form since the repo in March of 2005. I actually work in the same building as the credit union, so I could go and speak to them in person, but oh that would be so nervewracking.
