What makes EX higher?

psychic lists his scores as "EQ 810 / TU 813 / EX 842". I'm getting really curious now. What is it about his EX that makes it so much higher than the other two? The report or the formula? Someone may have read if he once wrote about it; I haven't found it if he did.

Re: What makes EX higher?

We'll have to wait for him to cruise back through and see your post.

EX is generally high for me because I have an old closed (sigh) account on it that makes it older than the others.

FICO's: EQ 781 - TU 793 - EX 779 (from PSECU) - Done credit hunting; having fun with credit gardening. - EQ 590 on 5/14/2007

I've been meaning to tell you HTSU- congratulations on that brand spanking new EX FICO.

Re: What makes EX higher?

Thanks! Smiley Happy It's silly, I guess, but I do like knowing this stuff. If people (well, lenders) are evaluating me, I'd kinda like to know what they're seeing. Smiley Wink

eta: It'll be down this month, that's for sure. Smiley Tongue

It's not silly at all. It's something that you think it right for you. I respect that.

It seems a few here think it's silly of me not to join PSECU to find out my EX FICO. They can't seem to fathom that I'm just not interested in knowing.

My other 2 scores are high enough.

DW is like that, due to some old store cards. Thanks for the reminder; I just looked up our oldest scores, years before we knew or cared anything about what those numbers are about, before our credit escapades in the last year and a half. Her EX FICO was 832, lol. So it would appear that EX likes no recent credit, which happens to be the place we're heading to revisit.

Based on their web pages, PSECU seems to be a nice place to be with the whole credit union community mood oozing out from there. By the way, have you noticed any soft from them this month? I was just wondering if the scores have already been pulled.

+1

Same here. My Ex was always my highest score back when we could pull them here, and it still was when I was mortgage shopping last spring. I've got my oldest closed account still reporting. It doesn't report on the other two.

Well, it's a lot less lonely knowing that I'm not the only non-PSECU member left in the forums. I wish I could say we shared reasoning as well, though. I simply don't trust myself to not app for credit once I joined! Smiley Very Happy

We'll have to keep each other strong against the PSECU forces.  Smiley Wink
