after many years of being on the amex blacklist, i was given another chance after they were IIB.
upon receiving the new card they have me as a member since my original acceptance back in 2014. not sure how this works but when this new card reports to the credit bureau, will all that history be reported & increase my average age of accounts? im hoping this will give me a slight bump in my fico score.
It will show up as a new account and age according to when it was opened. The "member since" has no bearing on account(s) age.

Does "member since" have any bearing on anything? If no, has it ever?

I believe that once upon a time, long, long ago (before all the regulations on credit reporting) they reported it to the credit bureaus which could have influenced your age of accounts. I've read where they possibly use that date (length of membership) to help determine special offers etc... Now, (externally) it only serves as a humble brag to anyone paying attention to it when they see a card with an older date on it. That, and mostly it just serves as a reminder to the card holder they're getting old.

AMEX accounts used to be backdated to the member since year but this practice ended roughly 10 years ago I think. Meaning that your new AMEX account would have shown as having been opened in 2014 on your reports.

Backdating stopped in the Spring of 2015. I have an Amex opened in late 2014 which backdated, and another Amex opened in early 2016 which did not backdate. No newer Amex accounts have backdated since then.
Their policy for AUs is even more strict than other lenders. Many lenders will give an AU the same opening date as the primary cardholder. Amex gives AUs an opening date equal to the date they were added as an AU.

I have a 1984 AMEX. Whenever I take it out and hand it to a server; I make sure to point to the member since date and exclaim: You see this! You see this! The server then bows slightly and says: Yes sir, can I get you anything else.
