how will this affect my score?

I am in the process of rebuilding (511 to 618) since May. I need to apply for a Parents Plus loan for my daughter...
first do you think I would get approved (I know 2 scores  618 and 628)....will my score drop dramatically?
Thanks for everyone's help on this board!

511-618 are very low scores. Why it is it that low? Please indicate whetehr there are any bankruptcies, more than one, etc., any collection accounts, late payments. Creditors will take a look at everything. What is a Parents Plus Loan?

Re: how will this affect my score?

my score at EQ was 511 in May....I disputed some items and 2 were deleted plus I had some lates from 2005. My score actually went up 100 points since May. No BK.  I had 2 collections from Cap One which I paid. (And for everyone who said paying a CO will not affect score - it most certainly went up after it was paid).
A parents plus loan is a loan you get when your child is in college. They get their guaranteed student loan and the parent takes out a loan, and if it is denied, the child can borrow more $.
