Re: "myFICO" score and my "FICO" score

The one baddie was a telephone bill that some one ran up on my phone years ago. I dont think it changed the ave age. As for the utilization, before they ran it it would not have had an effect on utilization until they cut it which then I could see that hurt my score, which is why I am concerned. I would guess the util went up after they cut the CLs. I was not watching it that close at the time. The score of 727 I got from myFICO was after the lines were cut.

Re: "myFico" score and my "FICO" score

I recieved a letter from my excredit union today stating that the score they use is avalable to the public and is a FICO score obtained from Experian. I have read over and over that they are not available on this site and elsewhere. I have pulled my score again and it went from 727 on 3/19 to 724 on 4/8 due to them cutting my credit lines I would guess.

There is a credit union in Pennsylvania (PSECU? something like that) that provides EX FICO's.

You can't buy your EX FICO, but you can access it if you belong to a credit union/ bank that provides the service, or if you app for a mortgage. But there's no site where you can type in your CC info and get your EX FICO.

Re: "myFico" score and my "FICO" score

Wescom Credit Union in Pasadena (rated "F" by BBB)  believes it is available. They even put it in writing. But I wonder how stupid they are since they could not calculate the correct amount due on my last CC bill. I sure would like some legal help.

Ouch on the F rating and your balance issues! But that's interesting about the FICO claim. I'll see if I can dig something up... (not finding anything on their site)

Re: "myFico" score and my "FICO" score

I made the call to the lender this morning. The shaky sounding guy on the other end of the line said that my EX score was 641. i would like to know how this score is so low when EX says my score is excelent. Plus score is 733 but obviously means nothing. but if the same CRA says I am in the top score brackets how can they report to my lender that I am a bad risk. One place they say I should have NO problem obtaining credit and then they tell the lenders that I am not a worthy borrower. SHAME ON EXPERIAN, SHAME ON WESCOM CREDIT UNION!

Re: "myFico" score and my "FICO" score

I read this in Understanding your FICO score. http://www.myfico.com/Downloads/Files/myFICO_UYFS_Booklet.pdf

"Each of the three credit reporting agencies probably

has different information about you, and that means

your scores will also be different. If your information

is identical at all three credit reporting agencies, your

FICO® scores should be pretty close."

So I would like to know how there can be such a big discrepancy. Its over 80 points! I have reviewed all the reports and there is nothing bad or different reporting in them.

Re: "myFico" score and my "FICO" score

I have had no responses since my last post. Not sure why there would be a 90 point difference in my "FICO" score and "myFICO" score with all CRA's reporting the same info. Any way I am waiting to see what happens to my score now that since my last post a week or so ago I have paid 1/2 of what I owed to Wescom credit union on both accounts ($6000 and $7000 lines). My next payment will have them just about paid in full. I do not plan to pay the last couple hundred dollars and will start paying about the minimum at that point to keep the lines open and current. Hopefully that brings up my "FICO" score to what "myFICO" score is. As of the last time I pulled reports I was at 34% util. Can anyone help me calculate my new util after these payments? And after paying another $6000-7000 next month? Also what can I expect my score to change? My plan is to have all 3 of my revolving lines paid within $200 by October if sooner.
