what else can I do to improve FiCO score???

My husband I paid off all credit and debt almost eight years ago.  Since then no credit card accounts.  In the last two years i have started trying to get all negatives removed from credit.  I have had a lot of sucess.  I olny have some old late morgage payments for a stint with self-emplyment and a lay off.  I have two paid medical bills that were paid 4 plus years ago.  and all accounts paid on time no lates in the past two years.  I have had the oldest credit care for 18 months and it has a 3000. limit  0 balance I pay in full every month  I did open some retail cards with shopping cart trick to add to the history and the mix.  I still cant get my score to move past 670 or so.  Myfico has my experian at 696.  not sue if accurate because morgage lender said it was 50 pts lower.  However my husband still has some negateives on his account and a judgement and his score is higher that mine  low 700's  I don't get it????  what can I do?

Just try to get the negatives off and make sure all but one revolver reports a 1% every month. Fico doesnt like when all cards are zero balance showing use and payment history is the bulk of the fico score

You need more revolving credit and installment loans. The negatives are holding you back but as they age they affect your score less and less.

It might be useful to list the details and ages of your remaining derogatories, along with the balances and limits on your various CCs.

1.  Not sure on all the derogatories, but a 60-day late two years ago is still an issue for scoring.

2.  Utilization may be an issue.  It's scored both overall and individually, based on reported balances (even if you PIF).  Lots of threads around here give the details of how to optimize it.

3.  The mortgage business typically uses the 04 score series, and the ones found here are the 08 series.

I am assuming that the paid medicals are collections? If so I would attempt to GW them off your report. Just keep at it, and congrats on your success so far.
