Equifax Score Watch Vs. MyFico

I'm somewhat disappointed. I signed up for myfico.com as a trial user and now I'm on the annual plan. I also signed up as a trial user at Equifax. The issue is that the service Equifax offers is more reliable. I get timely notifications, whereas I recently was not alerted at all of a new inquiry on my Equifax report via myFico. This is upsetting because my trial ends at Equifax soon and it clearly works better. Why such a discrepancy?

Hi...do you get your FICO scores through the Equifax service? If so...is it like myFICO where you get an updated score if something happens on your report to trigger an alert?

I thought if you got your score from EQ it was a FAKO but when I read it on consumercompare it does in fact say they are true FICO scores.

I've personally had good luck with Score Watch, always received reports and everything was good until I asked a billing question and they cancelled me.

Are you saying you received an inquiry alert from EQ SW but not myFICO SW? It looks like you were sent an inquiry alert by myFICO SW on 9/2, one of 9 alerts you've received since first signing up on 8/1. Are you saying there should have been another one? If you're not happy with myFICO's version you can contact myFICO customer service to cancel and receive prorated refund.

Be careful though, that refund may only be a maximum of $45.00, no matter how short of a period you've had it.

Sorry, but that's not true, wowchad. You were more than 4 months into your subscription when you received a 50% refund. If you had been given a refund after subscribing less than 3 months it would have been around 75%.
