FICO Score update!

Hello all, I am new to the board and this is my first post. I purchased the SW on 8/11/07 and as of today 8/23/07 I haven't received a score update, is this common? I have researched and everything I have found says it updates every 7 to 10 days. I would also like to say this is a great forum. There is a ton of great info that I wish would have been mandatory learning when in high school, that would have saved me a lot time and money! Thank you for your time.

Re: FICO Score update!

In my limited experience updates take between several days and never to arrive.

And I've found the trick is not to stop the sliding
But to find a graceful way of staying slid

Re: FICO Score update!

I guess I should have investigated more before I made my purchase, my bad..maybe I am misunderstanding exactly how SW works. Will it update every 7 to 10 days even if your score doesn't chance? 13 days and still no update.

Re: FICO Score update!

My fiance and I have been been using SW for about 4 months now.  She has only gotten a single update.  I got several updates at the beginning but have now waited more than 6 weeks with nothing.

Re: FICO Score update!

Try adjusting the alert settings to bare minimum activity on everything.  I get frequent alerts when it comes to existing account activity/changes based on my alert settings.  I just never get timely alerts when a new things appear on my credit report.  That's why I use TC too.

Re: FICO Score update!

You realize that there is no chance for your score to update if there has been no new activity on your reports. Unless there is a meaningful change in new accounts or negatives removed or a big change in your utilization of course you won't see a score change.

Re: FICO Score update!

One of the problems with SW is that it does NOT tell you things that don't affect your score  Smiley Very Happy

I think it would be a good idea if all SW customers got an email every week even if their score had not changed.  Then they would at leasy know that nothing was happening

Re: FICO Score update!

I recently became enrolled in sw and received my 1st update yesterday. I am confused though it is telling me that in order to actually view the updated cbr I will have to pay additional money is this correct? I was under the impression that as long as i subscribed to sw I would be able to view my cbr for free.

Re: FICO Score update!

No, it just shows you what has changed and how it affected your score.  In order to view your entire report, you have to pay for another one.  It's not like some of the other services where you can view each credit report every day, unfortunately.

Re: FICO Score update!

I too signed up for the free SW trial (on 8/14).  I made substantial payments on all my CC accounts in mid to late July (7/20) and am waiting to see the impact on my FICO score.  So far (as of 8/28) I have received no alerts, despite asking for alert to ANY change in my score.  I realize I will not get a report copy, but need to know when my Equifax FICO score exceeds 720 in order to qualify for a lower interest rate.  I also subscribe to a CM service provided by Experian and nearly all the CC accounts have updated in that report (I run them daily for free).  How can I check my Equifax score without paying for a new report?  SW should do this, but I suspect it is not.
