I am confused, question about Credit Complete package.

I purchased the FICO Credit Complete package. I told a friend about it, and he mentioned that it sucks because you get a one time score of each of the three credit reporting places. I was under the impression you get the new updated credit scores for the entire year?

Can someone please explain who is right? If you only get one score for the entire year, that is ridiculous and misleading.

Edit: Wow, it seems as tho he is correct. What crap is this? Who wants a product that will give you your score for one day, then display that score for a month, then basically do nothing other than tell you what inquiries/collections you have on your account?

I will be on the phone with them first thing in the morning. I am a complete idiot, but their information should say right on the front page of their products that you only get one score report for the entire year.

Re: I am confused, question about Credit Complete package.

yup, your friend has it right,

Credit Complete Package
You get (1) score/report from each of the three credit bureaus. you can pay 47.85 to pull it once, or sign up for the 'per year' which is 42.84. What this means is that once a year you will be autocharged 42.84 for a new set of scores/reports.

If you buy anything I would strongly suggest using the current discount code '7yrsale'. which will give you 25percent off.

Im not sure if they will do anything for you.... It does state in the 'Learn more' section that it is a snapshot.

Re: I am confused, question about Credit Complete package.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, I already purchased the Complete package, and I did use the 7yrsale code, thanks.

Basically, the product is worthless, unless you want to know what inquiries/collections you have on your record. Other than that, with a one time score per year, it definitely is worthless. I cant wait to call them tomorrow to try and get my money back. Smiley Sad

Well, go to the main page, then click "Products". Then scroll down. This is what you see:

FICO® Credit Complete

FICO® Credit Complete is your complete credit picture – all three FICO® scores and credit reports from TransUnion, Experian, and Equifax. Includes an explanation of the positive and negative factors affecting your score, plus access to the FICO® Score Simulator, which shows you how actions like paying off an existing account or opening new accounts may affect your FICO® scores.

It is clearly misleading. Someone should not have to click "Learn more" just to find out that you have a one time score for the entire year.

Re: I am confused, question about Credit Complete package.

atl, I understand your frustration. Yes they are expensive, but it gives you a complete picture of your credit history the day you pulled them.

Worthless? I think not! For if you had not paid for FICO complete you would not have known your credit picture. Many people who order the package are shocked at what is contained in the credit reports.....late payments, collections, judgements, tax liens, etc which you may have not been aware of. Such was the case for me.

The scores you get with FICO complete are the most accurate credit scores available to the consumer. 90 of the lenders use the FICO scoring model or some variation of it.

You are always able to get your credit reports for free at annualcreditreport.com. But it is only once per year. You can also purchase a "credit score" there for $7.95, but you will be getting a score that no lenders look at.

Yes, ordering your own credit reports are expensive, but it's the only way you will know what is in your credit report. How else would you find out if you were the victim of identity fraud? Which is explosively on the rise.

Re: I am confused, question about Credit Complete package.

Thanks for the reply. Let me make sure I understand this...when the scores disappear, I will still get collection notices and inquiries on my credit for the rest of the year, correct? I guess I will just have to buy my score once every couple months.

Re: I am confused, question about Credit Complete package.

What you purchased thru myfico with COMPLETE was just a one shot snapshot of your reports/score from all three CR's.  With what you have now, you will not get any updates for inq's/collections/ etc.

Here is a breakdown of their other products

Scorewatch is a product that you can get alerts for inq's/collections/etc from HOWEVER that is only for EQUIFAX ONLY.  Scorewatch will give you 2 (total) reports/scores, one at the time of joining and 1 to use at your choice of time. After those two are used, you have to pay. (I would suggest waiting a little while as you just pulled reports and if you sign up now you will get a newer report which might not have that much more updated info on it / also Scorewatch is a little iffy right now, may want to wait until they are sure everything is working ok)

Myfico Quartery Monitoring is a product that will give you your TU reports/scores 4 times a year (quarterly), and it will compare your new reports to odd and note any changes. The only alerts they will send you thru out the year is if there has been any change to your demographic info, such as name/address/phone etc.  They will not notify of any new inqs/collections/score changes.

Hope this helps

Re: I am confused, question about Credit Complete package.

With FICO Credit Complete you do only get to see the credit scores and reports for 30 days from the day it was purchased with either price. I found that out only because my cousin got the product and when she was reading the note off to the side of the page to where you hit buy now it says that with FICO Credit Complete it does not update or monitor any of your information and that it's only viewable for 30 days from the purchase date. I guess from what my cousin told me is that she bought the $42.84 one and only got to see the product for 30 days and then she noticed a charge for that same price the following year. It was ridiculous and she was very upset. But she is now getting a new product with the website and is satisfied cause she can monitor her two main scores and reports.
