ScoreWatch Issue

I am not too sure about this product.  I understand the whole idea of setting your score to your current score, but this is my situation.  I travel at times, come back check to see if I have an update, then change my score, but in the mean time, my score has changed again so by setting my score to the current really isn't my current and I get no updates.  Seems like a situation that you cannot win at all times.  Does anyone know if SW from EQ does the same thing?

Hi Lefty0118....SW from EQ does the same things as SW from myFICO.

You make an important point by saying that when you set your target score to the last one you received through SW -- even if you do so immediately upon receiving a new alert -- your score could have changed in the mean time.

This is because SW only checks for score changes every 7-10 days and there is always going to be at least a slight gap between the score change and the alert. This is why SW should not be expected to provide ALL score updates.

Re: ScoreWatch Issue

Barry,

I understand what you are saying, but when I purchased SW it was under the impression of what is advertised on the the product page...

"

Score Watch Benefits:
  • Monitors your credit report at Equifax on a daily basis and your FICO® score on a weekly basis
  • Notifies you when you reach your target score or when you qualify for a better interest rate

I again find it difficult to keep changing my target score at times when it could have changed in the mean time.

It does not do as stated by weekly updates.

When I contacted customer support prior to purchase none of this was stated as such that "it may not happen"...

Just my two cents.

What's advertised is correct, Lefty0118. That is it checks for your target score weekly and checks for report changes daily.

It looks like your target score is set to the score you received on 11/12. As long as that was also the date you set that as your target score, you should not be missing your next score update.
