So you think Score Watch is working - prove it to me

Score Watch seems to have taken a holiday and or is on strike.  At least for me.  Prove me wrong by posting you last alert or right by posting a missing alert.

Last alert was May 12.

Last change EQ + 10 was May 19.  Alert was set for 724 but score went from 723 to 733.  No alert, nada.

This was working fine for me prior to May19.  As a programmer (world class I might add) it cant be that difficult so save a record, then compair new values at some later time, and then update the record for next time.

Poissble bugs to look at

1.  User's Score Watch record is updated before compairing to old record.  The old format before backup bug if you will.

2.   Score Watch "batch" job fails to run/complete but user's record is updated later on.  The old I forgot to check the result status bug.

3.  Marty was updating his record before the check actually occured.  The old  "timing" issue.  Actually there is not timing issue in software other then the programmer not taking the time to check his/her code.

Send me the code and I will be ahhppy to check it out for you.  I am really very good at that sort lof thing.

The slide from grace is really more like gliding
And I've found the trick is not to stop the sliding
But to find a graceful way of staying slid

marty, It wasn't updating for me either. It stopped working sometime in may. I just cancelled the other day. I was sad to see my scorewatch go but I couldnt justify spending the money for something that didn't work anymore.Smiley Indifferent

Mine wasn't working, and Barry suggested that I cancel and resubscribe, and this worked. I had to save all my old reports though, because only about half came back. But all the scores were saved, so my score graph is intact.

Wait a sec ... wouldn't that get you charged twice? I'm paying (for both hubby and me) per month ...

Or am I missing something???

No, I got credit. Or maybe I switched from monthly to annual, I can't remember. I don't know what the deal is, but the jumpstart seemed to help.

Re: So you think Score Watch is working - prove it to me

No alerts for me since April 27th.  EQ has had at least two changes since then and I've paid UTI way down.  I called SW CS on Monday and was told I would get a call back in a couple of days.

It's been a couple of days.  No alerts.  No call backs.

Timothy suggested something a while ago: that with old baddies, cleanup plateaus (my interpretation of what he said).  I'm afraid I am on a wide, wide mesa.  Once I push UTI below 10% at the end of the month, we'll see.

At that point, I think I am going to find another obsession and simply use credit very carefully, keeping it below 10%.

Re: So you think Score Watch is working - prove it to me

Well, I went ahead and did the "FREE ScoreWatch" update thingie and found that hubby's FICO went up 18 points. Good, right?! Smiley Happy

However, we have ScoreWatch set to report ANY changes and it didn't report this. I am not happy. Smiley Sad

If it's only going to report on BAD changes then it should specifically state that. I bought the deal specifically so I could see improvement as I go about credit-fixin' and whatnot. Very disappointed.

Do you think anyone from MyFICO's actually reading this? Or are we all just venting in vain??! Smiley Mad
