Just because you 'want' it removed, won't make it so. You owed money and defaulted. This is the end result. Nobody likes it, but they're here to punish you. You can start a goodwill campaign. Write a heartfelt letter. Keep trying. Google to find email's for the 'higher-ups'. And hope it works.

I would try to make this 'right' because that is one option. The other is, of course, bankruptcy. Can you pick up a p/t job for weekends and an evening per week? What's the balance on the $15,000 loan? You can work with a credit counseling agency, but that's typically five years....can you pay 24,000 in five years? It's about $425/month if everyone plays fair with lowering the interest. You would have one payment.... Move back home, sell the car and buy a clunker, sell stuff, p/t job....take it on the chin and ask parents.......

Decreased debt by 3%, 30-60-90 day late removed, added one inquiry, and an 18 decrease. Still happy to see those lates gone. Decreasing debt by additional 20% within the next three months, so looking good.

Start a letter campaign. Explain WHY you got to 60 days behind. Ask kindly for forgiveness. Don't give up. I really think this is BS. Sometimes Ins. takes way too long. I think it's THEM who deserve a black mark for dragging their asses.

You are not ready for new tradelines. NINE inquiries can spook a creditor. And those collections...unpaid? NOT GOOD. Start with AMEX Secured....easy win. Spend a little bit and pay it. Do NOT miss a payment. Let some time pass with those new inquiries. STOP APPLYING FOR CREDIT. Work on those collections. After you've cleaned up some of this, return to ask for next step.

for $15,000....I'd say they aren't playing. They are either looking for a 'settlement' or plan to file suit. They've sued for a lot less. A lot. Good luck, let us know what happens. Hopefully, someone with more experience on this will pop up with advice.

Usually within a couple of months of the 7 year mark, they will drop off. Call each bureau and ask for an 'early exclusion' or early removal of the lates. If it's around 3-4 months, they may comply.

Been there and done that! You're in 'good' company here. The good news is: You are young and can rebound. You've learned a valuable lesson and should move forward and be proud of yourself for taking charge. Get rid of that car. That's just too much $$. Can you buy it early? Call and find out the options. Get a p/t job. Sell what you can. Write down every cent you spend. Get going on those pfd's. Follow whychat's HIPPA method for removal of med. collections.

You have a couple new accounts. Let them age for about one year and you should be good to go. It's isn't all about the score, there are many factors which play into a decision.

Here is a funny.....I once asked for a removal of a late. I sent it on pretty Christmas Paper. The gal actually called me. Thanked me for the cheery paper and granted my request for the removal. I'll try anything, I have no shame.

I went through something similar. Stopped adding anything into 401k or stocks until debt was brought down. didn't take long to see a big difference. Call each CC and ask them if they have their own 'relief' program. Some do, but only for six months, then you have to call them and do the same song and dance again to get it extended.

The CC was transferred to a 'loan'. The 'loan' is still being paid and they granted a bunch of new credit.

PP came after my sister right before SOL ran out...for around $2,000. Once the other cards see those negatives on PP.....they are going to start raising interest and slashing credit lines anyway. Might as well be proactive and start making phone calls.

Before you go this route, call TakeCharge America and speak to a specialist. My payments were greatly reduced and the interest was brought down to 0-6%. This was about seven years ago that I paid them off, but my experience was very positive. Don't ruin your credit. They will eventually sue for that amount.

Similar thing happened to me. Got backon the old feet, paid on time, extra payments and approved for more credit. Just give yourself about one year and I think you'll be just fine. whatever you do, just communicate and pay them.

Problem #1.....Barclay's seems to be inquiry sensitive. That's a LOT of inquiries. Problem #2.....You haven't properly studied the credit card forum. Read, Read,, and Read again. There are many threads with TONS of information in regards to which CC's are 'sensitive' to this and that. Which bureaus each credit pulls, etc. Don't fret about Barclay's.....denied my husband only to chase him six months later. Approved.
