I'm suprised that you still have a DFS/Cit bank TL. My account changed over to Webbank sometime ago. Prior to webbank, Cit bank made the same mistake as you have referenced. do you by chance have another DSNB account besides bloomies?   Gap and old navy are both GEMB cards correct? this only affects TU correct?  TU has problems with something called credit matching filters. I have bloomies and macy's and those accounts circle on and off my TU report all the time, hardly ever do they both report on TU at the same time. I've given up on on writing to TU to fix this, as it is always temporary fix.... I just wonder if that could be your problem. Hauling - you had one of the very rare BMW 2002's. I was over my friend's house in the summertime and his friend was visiting and he drove a 2002 (prior to this I had had never known about them)  mint condition - the car is worth a lot of money!! it's a great car....there were only a few thousand 2002's made!! Update - Even though PSECU did a soft inquiry for me, my membership was taking a very long time, so I called to follow up on the delay (my co worker got his debit card in the mail quicker than I got anything from them!!) - they were not able to process my membership application with frozen EX so I was told to UNFREEZE!! In regards to you being an AU on your friends card - you need to know 1) how long this person has had the card (sometimes if its a lot older than your credit, it can help with history 2) does the issuer report AU's  esp. if they are not at the same address, they might not - some cards do not ask for social security numbers, but they end up getting reported via address matching so it may not help at all if they don't ask for your SS and you don't share the same mailing address...3) i'd have to think about the higher utilization, running it up to 50% probably won't be that great for your utilitization...let us know which card it is and someone can chime in to see if the card reports AU's and so forth.   I thought I read that FICO scoring likes to see two bank cards reporting on your credit report, so getting another secured may be the way to go.   Keep up the good work. ... You might want to consider to call your previous landlord and make payment arrangements. See if they might consider once the 2600 is paid in full, if they would remove the tradeline from your credit report. It's worth a shot.  This is what is probably holding you back from securing future rental needs.   I would also consider pulling all three credit reports from annualcreditreport.com - check them over carefully for mistakes, etc.   While your two door car might be a little bit tight, I'd probably move the car to  last on my list, since it's functional for now.  Right after I got divorced and sold our house, I drove a little Celica two door and what a pain putting my son (who was only two) in the back seat of that car, but I did't have a car payment either...I took the car in the divorce that was paid for!! not the one with a note on it.   Christmas will come for you and your daughter and she'll remember more meaningful things about the time spent with her verus actual presents!! plus she's little too - I am not sure about childrens memory under the age of five...always a bright side.   Good luck to you and wishing you the best... ... Last nov i financed my car through MB Financial. Scores were around 665 or 675 and I got 4.9, which was the rate for 60 month loan (not sure if MB even does double digit interest rates by the way, I'd bet they use auto enhanced...). they start at 1.9 for up to i think it is 36 months and for every 12 months of financing add another percentage point; at the time, i had zero debt, two paid car loans never late. easy to deal with - no income verification needed.  Originally i tried also to finance a car for around 38k and I was declined (not b/c salary could not support payment, but  b/c no previous history  financing that expensive of a car (previous cars financed were 15k and 24K but not 38K!!) - i got financing for up to around 32k...i also put down 5k. they pull TU in pa...   I'd bet as long as your previous auto history is good and your scores are around 680ish, and you're trying to finance a car that your salary can support, you will be just fine.   hope this helps and good luck to you.   Which car are you considering? ... I'm sure it's a quality car - they don't make junk....i   would buy another benz in a heart beat. I do not drive the CLS but an E, a lil different.  would consider Benz -   can't replicate the solidity of that car and the driving experience. i zip around  long.  built like a tank...   i knew that my car would cost more yearly to maintain but for me, it's worth it.  three accidents and all three, my car held up and didn't crunch up like a generic soda can....it's heavy, comfy, and it's fun to drive... IMO....   One of my coworkers told me I was making a mistake buying a German car. he said "Daisy they are not that reliable".Information taken lightly as he has never owned a benz or a German car for that matter  I can't image we have the same driving experience.  I like driving my car, bottom line....and I feel safe and it's fast too...   Benz had a bad rep in the 80's with electrical stuff - never engines - i will get another. I love the CLS by the way...you know they are expensive to maintain but for me, it's worth it- afterall, everyday I get to zip around in quality and comfort. and solidity. they make heavy cars. check it out.   I was rear ended a couple friday's ago - my bumper doesn't even have a dent. and the car that hit me, was smashed up - broken headlight, smashed front bumper detached from the car and the hood was crinkled too - my car? some scrapes to the paint.  driving was probably going 15 mph by the way.  what does that say?   my advice is to talk to other benz owners - see what they have to say.  they won't steer you wrong. also another forum that I visit post is mbworld.org.   good luck.     ...
