Midland seems to put up more of a fight. To just drop because of this. You can try but wouldn't hold my breath.

Send the letter that I posted to all bureaus that Midland is reporting to. Like I said earlier, the credit bureaus care about FACTS. It wont hurt to try and the letter should do some good... Try it, you have nothing to lose, right?

I sent a similar letter, we'll see if it works.
As a side note, I had a stupid paid medical collection, my copay is $50 so I paid that but apparently they billed $65 and never told me so the $15 went to collection. I paid it, but the company wouldn't delete. I wrote to the CRAs and asked them to verify the TL. If the CA won't respond and verify, the CRAs will delete....TransUnion deleted today! Since the collection is paid, it's not worth it to the CA to investigate unless they really want to stick it to you.
I simply stated that everything was in error, the date opened, balance, status, and I wanted it ALL verified. Gone on one..waiting for the others.
