EX settled CO Removed- Expected Score Increase

My last baddie, a settled CO, was scheduled to fall off my reports last month due to NYS's 5 year early purge rule. It fell off my EQ & TU reports automatically but is still listed on my EX report with a June 2025 fall off date. Spent 3 hours trying to get through a live person who could help at EX and it seems my persistence paid off. It took the CSR 32 minutes to process it but he said he deleted the account from my EX report but it would take 24-72 hours to reflect. Current Fico 8 is a 706. How much can I expect my score to go up? Will I finally hit the elusive 740 EX Fico?! (I still have a 2.5 year old 30 day late on a account that is open & current but I believe after 1 year, lates don't have a significant impact on Fico scores?)

Re: EX settled CO Removed- Expected Score Increase

If you have a 30 day late reporting you still have a baddie.

The adverse effect  on ones scores of a reporting 30 day late payment gradually dissipates over time but one still exists until it falls off whch by default is in 7 years.

Everyone is different; it's quite possible to have FICO scores well above the 740 mark with a 30 day late reporting but when in your case that might happen is purely speculative.

Even though you still have the 30 day late, you may well hit 740.   Good luck with it.

OMG that is amazing. How on earth did you convince EXP to remove it 2 years early? Sell me that secret sauce please!
