Mortgage Servicing Sold and 16-18 point hit occurs

I wasn't happy with Ocwen servicing and some of their tactics, but I am even more unhappy with Nationstar at this point.

I have 2 mortgages on 2 properties.

I was past the 740 mark with TU 08 and quickly approaching 740 with EQ 08 and EX 08.

Ocwen sold my mortgage servicing back in February/March time frame to Nationstar and when it finally posted, I took 16-18 point hits due to the drop in AAoA and now one of my mortgages in not reporting ($55,000 owed on original $185,000 8 year old 15 year mortgage).

Nationstar is no help.  They play completely stupid about not reporting, but they do call me twice a week trying to get me to refinance.

For reference, I've been monitoring for about 6 months and watching the ridiculousness of my score swings based purely upon utilization.  I've got some other issues, but none related to this topic.

Re: Mortgage Servicing Sold and 16-18 point hit occurs

For anyone that uses the archives, I am posting this follow up.  My new mortgage servicer started reporting yesterday/today, I received an alert on CCT for my EX score (always the fastest) and I gained 12 points when the account started reporting.  The account is dated back to 07 (which should have really been 06, but the first year was lost in the GMAC restructuring); however, the payments are not backdated, the first payment date shows June 2015.  Any time my servicing has previously been transferred (and its been often with this original GMAC mortgage) the payments were also backdated.

So don't worry when your mortgage/servicing is sold, 3-5 months later you will get your points back.  And if your score is already good, make lemonade and go on an app spree to take advantage of the deflated DTI ratio before it starts reporting again Smiley Wink

The DTI suggestion is a really good one. Thanks again for your help. :-)
