Hello MyFico Forum,
I decided to get another car instead of wasting HPs on a refinance, but I have 3k negative equity since the loan was 72 month 10% APR, 3 yrs old. Is there a way I can sell the car private party and add the negative equity to my next car loan? I ask because it is highly unlikely I will get a fair price from the dealer who looks down upon trade-ins, in fact they hand those off to a 3rd party all together no matter how new or old. I'm looking to go with NFCU for the new loan. Can anyone tell me how I can do this, or even if it is possible.
0% credit card check for negative equity.
I would wait a year or until you are above water.

^^ Good advice, SF800!
You can roll it into the new loan even with your own financing but that is ill-advised. Have you looked into any new car rebates to offset the negative equity?
