This is weird but my BK filing date was 7/28/21 which is all my report ever showed now I see a latest status update of 11/23/21, which means now lenders can probably see this and now I have to wait a few months longer to even apply for another card. **bleep** lol.

Your filing date can't change. Status update just means that for whatevrer reason, the credit bureau re-verified your BK.

I bet that's your discharge date.
So are lenders going off of the filing date or the other date they have posted ?
Jmjm25,
Lenders go off the filing date because that is what is on your CR.

I signed up with PenFed a little over 4 years ago, in anticipation of someday wanting a car loan with them, but my 19-year-old Hyundai is still going!
Anyway, I'm in California (no PenFed branches around here) and their online banking has served me okay. It's not the newest technology, and for the first 6 months they limit the size of some transactions. But I've been happy with them so far.
I saw you have a cap one platinum and a venture card, did you upgrade to that or just flat out apply for it? If so how far out of BK were you?
The two cards you are holding are a great starting point. While often Synchrony and others cna be BK friendly, you burned a couple of good ones with NFCU and Disco.Targeting other Tier one cards would be helpful. CapOne are great as a part of a rebuild.
I would personally avoid the HP and try an Apple Card soft pull if possible if you have an iPhone. You might get somewhere with that.
Indeed you have a solid point. Hopefully I can upgrade my cap one platinum into a savor or venture card in the next several months if that's even a thing. So the Apple Card is a soft pull?? This whole time I thought it was a HP, and yes I have an iPhone and having an Apple Card would benefit. I have a iPad and MacBook. As of now my mission lane is at $0 the last two moths and I keep my cap one at 5-9% utilization. I spend $1800 a month on it and pay it down quick.

I'll have to take a look into the Apple card. Friends call me their Apple supplier. I have all Apple products and upgrades a lot so they get like new products with a nice discount. I miss my Barclay Apple Rewards card. I received a lot of rewards posints over the years.
Actually, I just took a few minutes to see what the card is about. They'll probably deny for a recent BK - https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT209218
