Well, that was disappointing. I was allowed to apply for a CLI at the 6-month mark of my BCP (until now, I kept getting a message saying that I had recently opened an account and so could not apply yet). They gave me the 7-10 day online notice and then an immediate email decision which was a decline, with the only reason being "Your consumer credit report reflects a bankruptcy." The BK is 5.5 years old.
This is the same Amex that issued me a cold-app BCP with a $15K SL 6 months and 3 days ago, also issued me a pre-approved Platinum card with NPSL and a $15K POT limit a month ago, and is still showing me as pre-approved for all of its cards.
Go figure. 🙄🤬

An item to keep in mind, while any bank can allow certain exceptions to create new CC originations once you meet specific criteria, such as AENB's 61-month rule (post-BK), it doesn't mean that the existing product will grow. It can stay like that until BK is off CRs or AENB relaxes internal UW polices.
If you decide to apply for another revolver, and are approved, potentially you can move limits around. But, AENB feels that given the presence of BK on CRs, your current exposure on that particular card is adequate. Remember, they don't have to lend you anything and the fact that you can still be approved while BK is present is a given. So, by comparison, the Fintechs said no.

Well sure, that's completely understandable. But most people in my situation seem to have received SLs of $1K or $2K. I was just surprised that they would see fit to give me a $15K SL, let me charge (and pay off) $5K-$6K every month, issue me a Platinum card with a $15K POT limit, and then go "Gee, we're sorry but it seems you have a bankruptcy" when I ask for a CLI. If my SL had been $2K I would have been less surprised. Anyway, just providing a DP; not crying in my beer or anything.😊
At the moment I have $100K+ in available credit of which I am using ~$300 as of today. But like most here, I believe you can never have too much credit!
Can some one tell me where the credit limit increase button is?
Thank you and be safe

When did you get one of their cards?

My link was still missing so I tried this and it brought me right there, denied again! Just trying to get an extra $1300 so I can have my BCE at $25k and transfer the extra $1k to my Business Cash and have that even at $10k.
Did the Chat window thing that was recommended by SD Marik, and the CLI went through with out issue. Moved from 60K to 75K. All I asked for.
The link on page one did the trick. Went from $16k to $24k on my Hilton Honors. Thank you so much for the workaround!
