^^^ agreed. Pre-Covid, I would have said two years was probably enough time to wait from a derog until an app (I was about 28 months past the DoFD of my newest derog when my first Amex cards were approved back in 2018). While recent DPs indicate Amex may be loosening up a bit of late, I'd still err on the side of caution. Use the prequal tool as @Anonymous suggested, and I'd probably go with that same time interval, at least three years with scores at least 680 to have the best odds for approval.

Just wanted to add my experience for DP purposes: I ran the prequal and was preapproved for all Delta cards. Applied and got denied. Denial reasons were score too low (650 EX F8), serious deliquency (true, I have one remaining unpaid CO and 6 paid COs, all at least 3 years old), payments not high enough/balances on cards too high (2 out of 4 cards were zero, one was at ~60%, one at ~30%). Overall util at 23% I believe. Sooo I'm not so sure about them loosening up now.
Just for fun I ran the prequal again yesterday, and STILL showed prequalified for all Deltas, although now Green was showing up too.
Not to rain on your parade but that score is too low if its a Fico score.. Might want to try the rebuilding forums because a recon will likely be fruitless and fustrating...

You need to bring your scores up before applying for credit of any kind.
