So got another mailer for their Green Card (2 this week) wheer its spend $1000 and get 25,000 points. I would like to get in with Amex, because i would like to get the ED card. However i know i dont qualify for that. At least im pretty positive, EX score is high 600's. I am wondering should i get my foot in the door? I dont suppose i can PC this charge if i no longer need it correct? Also one last question, are the points movable like Chase points? Where i can move my points from Freedom to CSP. So in other words can i move the charge card points to the ED card? Or is it just 1 pool of points?

Just go for the ED card. I think you'll be fine.
Why don't you think you will get approved?
It looks like you have the score. Unless you have too many inquiries or you have new accounts, it looks pretty good for your chances.
Green card is more for like people in mid 600's
People are starting to report ED approvals at 650 credit scores. I think they honestly have loosened it up a bit.... No hard proof except a few approval threads about it and there scores. I say go for it, you might be suprised if you are in the 660-680 range on ex.

Thanks and yeah inq's and new accounts is the big reason why. Freedom - June, Discover - July, CSP - August or september? Slate - November. Which i think they mostly all pulled EQ. I cant remember if Chase pulled EX at all. However AAOA is still like 1.7 years (it takes a lot to drop it seems, thanks to student loans)
EDIT - It looks like only 3 recent inqs on EX in the past 6 mos., however my total util is like 40ish
Well i think i might apply for the EDP card, just waiting for my partner to get home to help me. Sadly i dont make any credit decisions without him. However once he heard the points can be redeemed on ticketmaster (hes a big hockey person) he is like well this might change everything.
if you want the ED, apply for the ED. If you don't get approved, try applying for the Green or any other charge card on the same day. Hopefully, you'll luck out and get the two-fer single HP

Its a possibility it could be 1 HP even if the ED card is declined?

UTL is gonna be the hit or miss here.
Inquiries. Pfft. I had 8 on EX at the beginning of my AOR this year in August.

Possibly...of course, there are no guarantees with it being 1 HP even if both are approved or both are denied.
