@AnonymousMy AMEX Ameriprise went to review and they approved it a few days later. I wouldn't stress it, charge cards are easy to get.Thats the same thing i was told before i apped AMEX. i was told it was on the verge of not being approved the Delta, but my green should be no issue. as you can see from my sig, the opposite was true.. they have no interest in letting me have a charge card.
I wouldn't tell yourself that. The charge cards are factually easier to get because of their nature.
And that may be, but for me and my profile I can't seem to get a charge but I have 2 credit no problem. Not sure of you saw above but the Ameriprise was denied.
Jago22,
What was the order of your apps? Did your report change much between apps (accounts reporting, increased balances, lots of added inquiries)?
You got 2 Amex revolvers, but not high limits on them.

I do have a lot of inq's but I had some EE success which is why my score is up to 660 now. It was 635 in Nov when they approved the delta and declined the green. Month later SPG approval at 643

Did you app for the Green or Delta first? Was Delta an instant approval? Was Green an instant denial?

Manual review isn’t a denial.

I got an email from AMEX to check the status and it says denied on the app status.

Thanks UB
Sorry Jago22! I got approved with a mailer around 660. I thought you would get it too.

Thanks ShoeGal, i guess the part i dont get (i'm sure its a profile thing) is that EVERYONE seem to say that its easier to get a charge card, and from my experience its been quite the opposite.
I even went after the ameriprise platinum, since its no AF the first year, so that i could see if it would benefit me and if so i could go to the actual platinum with spend bonus, but no such luck. I"m not going to die without it, but it would have been nice and some extra validation that all my hard work over the past 10-11 months was paying off.
