Amex prequal questions

For those of you with existing Amex cards, when you do the prequal, does it make you sign in? I don't see any prequal offers after I log in. I just see all the cards. Is this the same happening with you guys?

Yes it will take you to your login just click on benefits then offers this is where any offers for cards that you have will be located. If you already have an account and apply it will be a SP if you are declined and HP if approved.

thanks for your input.

when i log in directly and click on benefits and then offer, i only see refer a friend. would it be any different if i were to prequal and then log on and follow the same steps?

If your score is good, you can always try to cold app? This is what I plan to do when I am ready to app for AmEx

True. I think my scores would be good for a card. I just don't know which card I'd have to restructure my point accumulation and divide it between UR and MR. I just like that feeling of knowing I am prequaled for cards.

Citi gives me:
Double cash, aadvantage world, hhonor VS, diamond preferred, ty preferred and simplicity.

Same thing was happening to me too. Always refer a friend. I just cold apped for the BCE and was approved. What are your scores?

Just out of curiosity, when you say Citi gives you all those prequals, are you sure at the top of the screen it doesn't say in black letters that they couldn't find any offers for you?  Whenever I go to Citi's PQ site, I get that message, and then I get a list of all those cards as my "options."

It'll tell me it has found an offer for me (which has been the advantage world), please see below for 4 additional. Depending on what I want the card for, diamond preferred and thank you preferred alternates. I know what you mean though. Before it would say can't find anything that matches your request or whatever

Definitely apply for whatever card you want from Amex, you have an excellent shot! Good luck!😊
