I applied when Apple displayed a video that seemed to be a 15 second application to approval process. No initial HP. Why not? TU Fico 750+.
Not so fast. They need I.D. So...Perfect screen capture of #1 of DL. App goes to pending review. Days later- email we can not accept your I.D. Next, arbitrarily, completely out of the blue, and only after I.D failed, they site the need to use a black background. Fine. Screen capture attempt #2 of DL now using black background. Pending approval again. Lost in space. No instructions for follow up. Nothing.
Amateur hour.

I went through the same thing with “under review” and they still came back with unable to verify identity. They said wait 30 days. Apple really should have chosen another bank
I got the same thing. Called the number and they said they will mail me. Never did.
OK, after all this time I decided to apply for the Apple card and see what terms they offer me. I went through the whole process and uploaded my ID several times and it would not recognize it. After multiple attempts I called the number on the email. The customer support guy asks if the info is correct I tell him it is, then he ask if my ID is expired.... I told him no. The he ask what state my license is from I tell him, then he ask if it is Real ID compliant, I tell him it is. Then he tells me that they don't accept Real ID from Ga. That I should go get a none compliant ID to complete the application. **bleep**? Has anyone else experienced an issue like this or have a GA real ID and been approved? This one is really mind boggling that a tech company like apple would partner with a bank that has an issue like this.
Iv actually had problem with Real ID's with lottery vending machines and other such verification (friend of mine tried to open a CU account and they wanted a scan of his license... kept rejecting it.... ended up going in-branch and Oh yeah.. Real ID's will not pass verification with our system but in person they have a different method of verifying them and it came back alright...(wonder if they just physically matched him to his license and SS)...

Along those lines, can the card be apped in the Apple store? Or does it only have to be done through your device?
@britt585 wrote:thanks so much...how do i do a hard reboot?...will that delete my phone? pictures etc
I've read a lot of Apple card threads lately and many of them have said they had trouble with it until they Updated their phones (or device) and then it went smooth. Not just a hard reboot. Not an apple user, just a Fico reader but I've been interested in the card myself. A hard reboot nor an update should delete your phone etc.
I'm guessing if you have to apply through and Apple device, that that's also how they know who you are, "I.D." you.
