Approved Double Cash but with a Twist

So I applied for the Citi Double Cash today and got the pending status. I calle the number with the application ID and the representative told me I reached my max credit allowance on the Forward so I could move 1500 to the Double Cash for a total limit of 2000 and 5000 on the Foward card. I mean I accepted it because since the nerfed the Foward there's really no point in doing that.

My question is, will moving credit lines around affect my credit score or anything? I am happy I got the Double Cash, but I am a little unconvinced that this was a smart move. Oh well, I took the HP so might as well.

Thanks!

Re: Approved Double Cash but with a Twist

No scoring effect

Edit to add

With the nerf of the forward I would have lowered that card to bear minimum and put more on DC....just a thought

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

Well chase asked recently on a recon why my limit decrease on my BCE I moved 5k to my business card. Some lenders may think your limit got reduced for not using an account properly I guess.thats been the only down side I seen on this matter.

Shouldn't be a score effect.
