Well my last application spree I threw in a BBVA application and you guessed it got unable to identify denial.. Anyways this was the 21 or 22nd of last month I applied and fought them through BBB first yielded no results and obviously their customer service, well we don't have to go there we know they are idiots.. So filled a complaint with the CFPB as that is the only way to really possibly get their hands slapped if enough people did it.. I am guessing this is why their online application partially is down due to all the CFPB compalints along with BBB complaints and just general carelessness from them.. Anyways This is their response to my CFPB complaint 15 days later..
So 15 days after issuing my complaint with the CFPB BBVA issues this response.: How lame, least it isn't tthey believe I am a victim of idenity fraud that they were using on other peoples CFPB complaints. How in anyones name does it take 60 days to remove my inquiry and/or approve the account due to "unable to identity identifying information". They have hit a new level of incompetence.
Response back from BBVA through CFPB complaint:
The company has provided a partial response to your complaint number xxxxxx-xxxxxxx describing the steps taken so far to address your issue. They stated they are still working on your issue, and you should hear from them again within 60 days.

Me thinks they might finally be in trouble and buying time to find a legit excuse? I hope they get slapped with a fine or something or at least change how they do business from a result of all the complaints, etc. Least they could of gave me an excuse of to many inquries or to much credit or something else and I would of never filed this. When a consumer has no way of talking to someone that has a clue this is what happens.
I'm sorry you are having to deal with this, CC. BBVA sounds like a big mess. i know that others have had difficulty with them,
knew I possibly might get the indentity thing... Just after filed complaint didnt think after 15 days they would need another 60 days for one person to talk to another.. Just shows what a mess they really are or least the fraud/verification portion of the bank. Other part might be fine as once you are good you are good, but until then, well ya..

I think someone should complain to the (FNWMBCD) "FICO Members Who Make Bad Credit Decisions" about you applying to that ridiculous company after all you have read about it here
CC could be approval coming your way. Check email including spam mail. I too received a similar message with my complaint and received the approval email in my spam folder before a final response from BBVA.
BBVA Response:

They're just hoping you will have forgotten about it in another 60 days

Therapy needed for CC
Sorry to hear about your troubles. I also went through this with BBVA for the same card. I didn't end up getting the card, however I did go through the BBB and CFPB process. I noticed recently that the online application for this card has been removed. This is a good thing as the application is/was broken. They now require you to come into a branch which eliminates the unable to verify identity issue. If this card is still around in a few years I may try to obtain it again as my scores will be even better and perhaps they will have fixed the application by then.
