You can have mine! Smiley Wink  I find them quite intolerable, therefore, my Americard sees the light of day once a year when I get my air ducts cleaned.  Seriously, that is the one purchase I put on the card annually... IMHO, you're not missing much.

LOL, you are missing "much", these guys hand out CLI's like candy. Just got a 100% increase to 10k on one with 38 inqs on my TU and a 703 score.

Also, their recon department is very nice, very pleasing to speak to. Trick is to call the spanish line as they apparantly have more authority.

BoA 4lyf

That is all well and good, however, take a trip to the D.C. area with your card and see how much you like them.  I spilt my time between DC and Pittsburgh and have had my card shut down for fraud more times than I can count while traveling between DC, Virginia, Maryland.  I have even had their security department call me and ask me how I got from one state to another so quickly.  I then explained that from where I was standing in DC, I could throw a stone and hit Virginia or Maryland and that they really need to look at a map.  Since they cant seem to properly educate their security people on mid atlantic geography, I will be refraining from using their card.

Thats really my only rant on BofA, the 28k credit limit is respectable, provided you dont live in an area where you happen to travel to a different state for your morning coffee...

Edit:  In addition, if I have to call into a spanish CSR line to get someone with authority, one cannot fathom the Mommy Dearest style rant that would ensue.

I feel ya! The are my oldest card at 4 years and even when my credit was excellent and in the 700s two years ago, they never gave me any love or other cards, even though I bank with them. It is currenlty collecting dust in the SD

Called to recon, very nice representative to speak with, she said it was denied due to old collections, all which are paid, she said i would be getting a letter in the mail.... Should I call again?

That alone is enough for me to not want the card.  Think what would have happened if you went to Delaware..  Be careful with throwing those rocks.  You might hit me.

Do you live in the DC metro area, Irish?  I wont throw the rocks hard, but I would suggest not giving me a wire hanger Smiley Wink

Id even take a secured card from them to rebuild a relationship with them. Smiley Tongue

BofA doesn't like me either, but I can't blame them.  I charged off a couple of cards with them less than two years ago.  Before that, I had an extensive relationship with them.

I applied for a secured card about 6 months ago and was turned down.  I applied again about 10 days ago and was rejected again.  This time, armed with info from MyFICO I called to recon immediately after the online rejection.  The rep told me I'd have to wait until receiving the letter in the mail before calling.  I got the letter over the weekend and called yesterday, spoke with a very nice lady and after some cajoling, she agreed to open up a secured card for me.

Like you Nixon, I look at it as rebuilding my relationship with them.  After being rejected twice for a fully secured card, I'm assuming they must have had me on a black list.  I'm hoping they if the can graduate the card in 12 months I'll be off their naughty list.

tell them you have realized how important credit is for a person and even though you made some mistake back then, you paid what was owed and have been taking care of your credit since as your history shows. Tell them their cards have great rewards and was hoping they would allow you to have business with them. Or something along those lines.
