Would calling a different recon number possibly give me different results? I have already called this number 3 times with the same response each time.
That's how BoA recon works these days. The reps simply resubmit your application through the automated system. So unless something has changed in terms of your information, it's going to be the same result i.e. denied for the same reason it was denied originally. BoA does not do much human intervention on applications like they used to.
I have a merchant best buy number if you press 1 twice just say ur a customer it skips the line. 888-834-3963
Called BofA: 800-421-2110, but the number no longer transfers your to a human directly.
BofA: 888-991-8222 works

In my experience they deny having phone access to that department and you have to write them or send a fax.
I finally found a phone number for Rakuten Visa that worked! I went back through their site and scanned through the cardholder agreement. I then called the first number in there I could find, which was 855-697-4560. I think it is technically the customer service line, but once I put in my date of birth and SSN, the computer asked why I was calling. I said "application status" and I finally got through to the correct place. They said I was declined, which is fine. But the number is here in case anyone else needs it since there seems to be no mention of it anywhere on the entire internet.
Sorta in an urgent matter does anyone have BoA number with human to try to delete a totally accidental delinquency from someone's file? I think i am going to call tomorrow, not mine but my brother's.
Success with Chase today. I had asked for a CLI and was denied. Then I called 888-270-2127 and spoke with a Lending Services Specialist. He went over my CR, and questioned the multiple 60-day lates I had from Feb through May of 2019 on a Cap1 account (as that was the reason I was denied).
I explained my case (long story with some foreign currency issues), and I pointed out that a) I had never missed a payment with Chase over 4 years, and b) that even though I was late on the Cap1, I didn't default and that for the past 15 months I've not been late with Cap1, I PIF each month, and it currently has a zero balance.
The CRS then doubled by CL from $1000 to $2000.
Interesting data point, his main concern was that the Cap1 account was my highest line of credit.
Ok so I just called Chase's Verification/Fraud dept at around 7:30AM PST and they're open, however, the quality is just horendous! I think it has something to do with the specialists working from home or something so just keep that in mind when you call their backdoor numbers. It will be a painfull phone conversation.
By the way, I got Chase's Lending Dept. number: 1 (877) 260 - 0084. Not sure if this is their Business Lending Dept. though because I called regarding my recent Business Ink Cash application.
I couldn't find this number anywhere, so I thought I'd post it in case anyone else ever needs it. If you get the 7-10 day message and want to call to see if they just need to verify any information, here is the number you can call: 1-888-316-6145 between 7 a.m. and 12 midnight CT.
