i had some 3-yr-old delinquencies when i applied, my score was probably in the 650s, and i didn't realize til i reconned that i had miskeyed my salary. if i recall correctly, it was less than 10k salary that i input
the rep approved me for 1k after i gave her my correct salary.
eta: didn't see your post about your actual income and question about how they know you work. they don't unless they ask for proof of income. i'd just give a good estimate of how much you make (800/month) and see what happens. be honest, though. i imagine that if they decline and you recon, they'd want proof since you're self-employed. barclays reps are really friendly and easy to work w, though.

what's the recon number.
@Anonymous wrote:You can't even apply for the Barclays Apple Rewards card anyway. Its closed to new apps. You can apply for the Barclays Financing VISA which only has deferred financing if you want to go that route but you're probably better off getting a card with a true 0% intro period and a SUB.
^ This. There is no benefit in getting the Barclays Financing Visa (formerly Apple Rewards) unless you simply want a Barclays card to have one. This card no longer has rewards, just financing which is the same as a 12 month 0% APR card. If you are worried about not getting enough credit and need financing too, get a card from a lender with Intro 0% APR and willing to give a good credit line (like Discover).
If you want rewards I would then look into the Apple Card as it's 3% cashback if you buy at the Apple Store or website. Also, a bonus they will tell you your credit line before you accept the card. So you can avoid a hardpull if you don't like the limit and choose not to accept it.

It's worse than that. It's a deferred interest offer which means if it isn't paid off by the time the deferred period ends, you get charged interest retroactively to the purchase date. This won't happen on a 0% intro APR card.
