Hi Floks, new to this site and liking what I see so far. Im currently trying to raise my fico scores to get better interest rates on a near future mortgage. I currently have a capital one secured cc. After reading some boards I decided to apply for the barclaycard reawards cc. It seems from what I read they only pull your transunion report so thats why I chose it. My TU score is 671. I just applied 15 mins ago and a message popped up after I applied that read (we will let you know within 10 days). So do you think i have good odds with a Tu score of 671? My exp. is 653 and my equifax is 644. Thanks.

You can call in and ask if they need any additional information, but from what it sounds like it you may have been denied. You can try and recon with barclays when you call in.
Score is fine, but have no clue about the rest of your profile...
Make sure you call this # it is the U/W and Recon # and ask about status and if declined they might be able to turn it over. don't call the normal CSR #

+1
If denied do recon. Barclays are good with recon.
Good luck.
Thanks for the fast replies and the number. Ill give them a call.
Just called them and they closed at 5 eastern time which was right around the time I applied. Maybe that's why I got that message.

I got approved for Barclays Rewards MC with my TU score of around 610, so you should be good. Although, I got approved immediately. Not sure why you didn't.
Hmmm...Gives me a little hope... Ive only had the capital one cc since Sept., I've had an auto loan for over a year with no late payments. I do have 7 small collections from a few years ago that probably hurt me.

Yeah probably hurts an bit those collections. Worst thing they can say is you got denied. I would just call in and plead your case and see what they say. Good luck :-)
