Re: Barclays denied...No credit pull

The fees will start in July.  Looks like I may have to pay the fees until I can get approved for something better.  The good thing is I'm really close to having a 'Good' credit score on my EQ report...I just need 17 more points.  I believe I will have that by June (since Credit One will be 1 year old then).  Hopefully then I will be able to get Capital One without a problem.

Start of rebuild July 2021

lol, sorry, i had to laugh.  I wonder what their policy is to let you back in. I know with AMEX it takes years.

5 years and 1 month, to be exact, providing you didn't burn them in the BK. That's the case for me, so assuming everything goes smoothly otherwise I can probably look forward to getting Amex offers in the fall of 2019.

As for Barclays, I really know of only two cards from them (both co-branded) that I'd be even vaguely interested in, their Barnes & Noble MC (because I buy books there every so often, but not enough to really make their rather paltry rewards schedule worth it) and the Apple Visa (because I'm expecting to replace/upgrade my iPhone SE sometime next year, but I might just put it on one of my rewards Visas without going through the rigmarole of getting yet another card).  In fact, right now, Amex (BCE) and Sync's Marvel Mastercard (due to 3% on bookstore and other media purchases) are the only two remaining cards on my wishlist.

Re: Barclays denied...No credit pull

It's interesting to me how these companies make their decisions. I need a computer decided getting an apple was the better choice. I have 2 Navy fed, 1 Capitol one, 1 JHH credit card
Utilization is 11% have 6 inquiries on TU. After applying for the apple barclay I waited for my instant denial instead I recieved a note to call them. After waiting for rep to look over my credit report I was unbelievably approved for more than I asked. My TU score was 622.
