I actually emailed the Blispay CEO today about this. Just because it angers me for so many of you on this forum. I already have the card, so perhaps the CEO will listen to me more than someone writing just to complain about not getting approved. I basically informed him that he's losing out on a lot of potential customers (and good, profitable ones too) due to the "failure to verify identity" reason and that it's clearly an internal issue that needs to be revisted and rectified. I'll report back what I get for a response from Greg.
Good. I trust you also told him that there are a large number of potential customers who are aware of this failure in basic procedures and will not consider applying until it is rectified. (EDIT: Apologies, I didn't read through completely - I see you did, in fact, do that.)
That was my denial reason...Failure to verify identity...I don't know what kind of system they use, because I KNOW I got all of my verification questions correct...Oh well...I'm headed to the garden because I hate NO'S...
Does anyone know what they use for identity verification? After seeing so many people get denied for this reason, I was concerned that both my wife and I were going to get denied. Fortunately, we didn't have a problem. I thought I would have been likely denied because I have literally everything frozen. I thought she might have problems because of her relatively new last name.
Why would you want bisplay over citi DC, fidelity visa, paypal2%, or Amex Blue Business Plus? Also how does one manage to get CEO emails? Could the reason for vification issue be a cheap reason to allow Bisplay to avoid transactors?

Because the 2% is practically instant, and you can get 6mo 0% APR financing on any purchase over 199$ (and currently you can get BOTH the 2% and the 6m offer on the same purchase)
There is no minimum for redemption.... no requirement for an account with a brokerage, or not have to qualify for a buisness card or PG...
Its also a hidden tradeline on 2 out of 3 bureaus... which means you can utilize the credit limit given without taking much of a hit (although it still reports on one CR).. EX if i recall...
As far as I can tell Paypal 2% does not offer deferred interest offers YET... and the 2% can get frozen in a paypal account....
Disclaimer I got the offer for the Paypal 2% on sunday.... 6/11/2017
Can't help you with the CEO but basically they are using cost cutting and passing the savings to the end user.. like a no frills ISP...
Hence why its not a Siggy or other rewards tier....
I have it.. it was worth it, but they really need to get their processes in order....
Totally agree with Subexistence. It's an out. They certainly don't have the financial backing of the big boys so that's their bs filter. My opinion of course and I pretty much ALWAYS think there's something going on behind the scenes.

I believe it is business model. I think they expected the majority of their clints to come from midsize businesses that signed people up as a way to give zero interest financing.
The flood of internet apps worried them on identity theft.
I think you're right. I just went back and looked at the Blispay site and they put a lot of emphasis on recruiting merchants. Which makes me wonder; have any significant merchants adopted Blispay as their co-branded card yet?
I applied for the Bilsspay Visa and was DENIED because I have ONE "new" account on my file and they said I don't have a long enough credit history. I'm in my 50's and have had credit (in good standing) since I was 18. They pulled Experian and even called the recon dept, twice, but nope, they didn't even want to recon me because of one fairly new card opened this year. So unless you have NO new accounts in at least six months don't even bother your time with them. My EX score is in the low mid 700's, NO hard inqs in over a year and everything is paid on time. AMEX limit $12k, Chase Auto $5,340 (was $14k last year) + others.
