BoA bucket?

Is there a such thing as a bucketed Bank Of America card? I can't seem to get any increases on this card (Unlimited Cash Rewards) but I constantly get offers in the mail & email to apply for a new card. I had the secured Americard for 4 years before it graduated & limit went from $1500 to $1000 once it did graduate. No lates, derogs on TU or EX.

Typo? CL went down? Smiley Happy Secured cards that are converted arent like straight up non secured approvals. Someone will chime in.

Re: BoA bucket?

I had this issue with my cash rewards card. But, I never had a secured card. I was approved by cold app for 2,000. I tried like hell for 2 years straight to get a CLI and never once did they give me a cent. It was infuriating. So then I decided to apply for another boa card and funnel some limit from that. They kept haunting me for the 1.5% card so I applied. DENIED. 😱 at this point my FICOs were 775. I called and got a recon approval for 5k. I grew that card to 10,200 over a short time and then I combined limits and closed the 1.5% card. This gave my cash rewards a lovely new limit! Well wouldn't you know it, the next time I asked for an increase on my cash rewards, APPROVED! It now has a 38,000 limit. It's been a long road with BOA but I'm glad I did what I did bc I love my cash rewards card lol

No typo at all. I added $300 & eventually added more to get it to $1500 as it was my first card. Once my card graduated the limit went down to $1000 limit. My Fico is a 751 as well. I'm not sure if I understand what you're saying correctly.

Great idea. I rather have the Customized Cash card over the Unlimited Cash Rewards but I can't afford to close the UCR because it's my oldest account at 5 years. I definitely don't need another card as I have 11 already. I do plan to close my Mission Lane card next as it only has a $600 limit.

Re: BoA bucket?

Yeah that's the one I have. The customized cash. The unlimited is the one I opened for all the limit shuffling lol

Re: BoA bucket?

I have an offer for the Customized Cash right now that was mailed to me. Last night that happened just like you I applied & was denied lol. I'll sleep on it for awhile before deciding on it.

Just noticed. They lowered your CL after graduation? Seriously? Thats why I thought it was a typo. Never seen that. Wow.

Re: BoA bucket?

Yes & I haven't gotten a single cent back from them. All 10 of my other cards have gotten increases with 7 being in the last 3.5 months. Amex gave me two since March both being 3x CLIs. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.
