The link appears when the automated algorithm considers you eligible to request a CLI, it shouldn't necessarily be construed as a preapproval or other definitive sign that you're eligible to receive one.
It's kinda silly though that the algorithm says minimum 90 days, then it pops it up at 80 days anyway.
I've had it reappear within 3 weeks of a successful request, based on what others have reported it will sometimes survive the nightly refresh if there was a denial. Plenty of andedotes exist that demonstrate BoA can be selectively flexible with some of their rules.
A lot of BoA's policies aren't cast in stone, witness approvals when above 7/12 and aggregate credit limits over $99,900.

Interestingly, the luv button is still present on that card.
I say hit again for the giggles
Maybe I should...
The next letter will probably be even more direct. Something like: "Dude. Take a hint. The. Answer. Is. No!"
4 times in 12 days... dang
Hey this isn't Discover, you can't be requesting a CLI every day till it sticks! lol
And I agree just because the button appears doesn't mean it's an all clear sign to click it. Amex's button is always active, yet we don't see People clicking that every day, week or month.
I will say it was kind of nice to read a new reason.
