Ugh. Just looked it up and 2-3 days is almost always decline, according to reports from here. Oh well, at least it's a SP.

Welcome to the club ... I'm due for CLIs on BOTH of my Cap 1 cards and it's not happening
I got the same 2-3 days reply thing and I did get the early increase in April, mine was promised in May. I didn't get an increase in May, as others have reported back to back CLI by asking early. I just got the 7-10 letter response and it said my account was recently increased
Ah well. I do have Credit Steps coming after my 5th statement cuts, IIRC, so there's that. I'm trying to keep as low a profile as possible while gardening so I may not bother requesting a recon (because that might possibly end up provoking a HP). Amazon Prime Store Card is next; I tried in March but got turned down, maybe now that my TU has improved some and I have 6 months' history on that card now it'll be successful this time. I'll try that one after my 6th statement cuts (next payment, on the 5th statement, is due on the 25th).
Capital One was the 1st credit cards that we got while at the end of BK7 in 2015 and we started with the credit steps and got the CLI like clock work then we upgraded to a diff card to get away from the yearly annual fee. Then cap1 sent a letter saying if you paid this $$ amount each month instead of the minimum in 6 months we will give you a CLI so we did that just to get the CLI otherwise they don't seem to give CLI very much. I can't say that I am happy with them..... They did allow us to start rebulding but I am not sure I will stay with them as time goes by. I haven't been using them as much as I did in the beginning.

Interesting, because the Credit Steps email I got from them didn't specify a particular dollar amount, just on-time (and I think over-minimum) payments for 6 months. I'll wait to see what happens once I get Credit Steps but if they continue to decline CLI's - and again, I don't know for sure that they're going to deny this request though from what I read it does look that way - then I'll have to re-assess.

I am still trying to figure out Capital One myself - like I said, I did get the early CLI from them in early April, but not the one they said I would get in May, as I have seen others get back to back CLI so I went ahead and made the request and was shut down this morning.
I also have a Kohl's card from Capital One, it started at $300. I have asked for a CLI several times with that card and consantly got denied, insantly! This morning, I went ahead and hit the LUV button again, and to my surprise I got a $400 increase. I have had the card for 6 months now - and when I last called customer service for a CLI, I was told by the customer service agent, that they prefer that you have the account open for at least 6 months before a CLI. I have seen posts where some people are reporting CLI with Kohls every 30/90 days or 4 months, that wasn't the case for me. I had to wait the whole 6 months - maybe because I am still in the rebuilding phase and my credit score isn't where they want it to be right now?
I am rebuilding my credit and in the garden right now, so I will take all the SP CLI that I can get. I really don't use the Capital One card often, because the limit is so low, but as long as it helps me to grow my credit and develop a positive credit history I will keep it open.

Well, we'll see. I do have a fairly decent line on the card, all things considered - $3,000 - so I'll continue to use it at least a couple of times a month and I guess I'll take another shot at the "luv" button next month after all. Maybe something will change in a month.
My hubby's 1st cap1 started at $2,500 where mine started at $300 or $500 if I remember right, now mine are only $1,050 and $1,500 after almost 2 yrs and thats with credit steps and the increases I got. When I got my Barclay they started me at $2,500 and my hubby at $500. Today I was approved for a Fifth 3rd Bank cc sl is $1,500. Every 6 months I hit the luv button for vic secret, kohls etc and almost always get a cli. Not sure what the deal with cap 1 is.
