I set my sights on this card a few years ago. I have a Chase Disney Card. I've been getting offers from Chase to upgrade my current card. I have 5 open credit cards, all which have 100% payments on time. Some of them have higher balances right now because of Christmas but it is what it is.
I applied for the CSR card the other day and got an email saying I'd be notified. I called the status number and it said 30 days.Today I got a notification that my credit had been pulled by Chase again, but from a different reporting agency. I called the number again and now it says 7 to 10 days. Of course, I'm going to keep calling. But any insight, is this potential good news?
Update: I received a letter in the mail from the fraud department. I had to call and verify that I submitted the application. Now my application status is back to 30 days. I could not be more confused.
The 7-10 message can go either way. At this point, it's probably best to wait until you get the letter to determine next steps.
Have you opened 5 (or more) revolving accounts in the past 24 months?
No, I haven't applied for anything because I was holding out for this card.
Hopefully, it's just a matter of verifying some info. Good luck with your application!
good luck!
hope you get it!
< fingers crossed >
Good luck to you!
Good luck on your application!
I wouldn't worry about the 2 credit pull notifications. I accidentally applied for the CFU a few weeks ago ( meant to apply for CF) and I immediately got the Experian notification upon instant approval. It took a few days for the Equifax notification but it listed the same date.
After all of the back and forth (see update in OP) I called the number today and my status was changed from 30 days to approved. My interest rate is almost double what my other Chase card is so I won't be using as much as I intended. But as least I have it.
