Cap 1 CLI denial for a wrong reason

I've scoured my credit report to look for a recent delinquency that they reference, even talked to Equifax, and there is none. The reason they lost for no CLI is not true, and it's really irking me! My report is clean! I've got a 743 fico now. Gah!

So, moral of the story for me, is to call them, and then decide if I'm axing the card. Ugh!

Have your other reports updated yet?  You just paid off your last collection a few weeks ago and was told that it could take up to 45 days for removal.  It is well known that Capital One pulls all 3 CBs for apps and my guess is they SP all 3 for account reviews.  Even if you get it removed from all 3 bureaus, they may base the SP off the last account review which I'm sure shows the collection.  My advice is wait until the next account review and then apply.

 

If it makes you feel any better, I can't get a CLI either.

Thanks for your reply, overmedicated!

I know the collection is off all three now, plus, it was from 2015 and was on there when I got the card & on there when I got a small CLI last year. I'm just really flummoxed by them!
