I have a QS1 and a Platinum card with Cap One and I want to request a CLI for each. They are both at about 50% utilization. Do they take that into account or just do a soft pull and look at the full picture?
Also, do they still have their pre-qual website for new cards?
If they're 6 months from the last CLI then just hit the button... .it's a SP
Yes they have the pre-qual page @ https://www.capitalone.com/credit-cards/prequalify

^^There ya go. Good luck!
I just requested a CLI on both and I got the message they will review and let me know. I guess thats a no go.

I do not know much about Cap1, my guess is a review is a review, meaning looking it over.
better than an outright denial or a NO.
"we'll let you know in two to three days" is an outright denial with Cap One.
OP, if you've carried a balance for a while without significant payments, CLI most likely wont happen till you drop utilization on those cards. As much as Cap One loves usage, they love payments even more.
Also, Cap One does not do monthly SPs, or SPs when CLI is requested.
Instead they do AR every 3-4 months. That's not as relevant to you getting CLI as much as paying down those cards, which you should try to do anyway.
Better luck next time

IMHO, I think your approval odds would increase immensely for a CLI if your UT was <29%. I wouldnt waste a HP.
Just my 2cents.
