Called the automated line to request a CLI and heard, "Good news! You've been approved for a $100 increase." Good for whom? I was merely curious, this turned out exactly as I expected based on research so declined the offer.
Scores below, 12th statement closed two days ago. I was using it frequently the first couple months since it was my only card but won't be reaching for it now. Planning to bump Discover secured up to $1500 after the first statement. No hard feelings just looking forward to the day when I can leave Cap One behind.
Congrats on your CLI approval!! Was it opened with lower SL, like 300-500, if so, CLI will be on low side. Bucketed and slow growing.
@blindambition Oh I know, have zero expectations. Planning on closing it late 2021 or early 2022. SL was $750, $250 credit steps increase then I called like four times that same day and squeezed out another $200. Not even going to kid myself into thinking it will grow. But its serving a purpose and for that I'm appreciative.
Apologies @gdale6 wasn't sure where this thread belonged. Thanks
All good fortune to you when you will be well beyond those tidbit offers.

Dang, i guess the Devil is in the details
Yeah, Cap One increases are a bad joke.
What's not in my wallet? C1! 🤣
I kind of feel indifferent towards my Cap One secured Platinum. I started with a 199$ deposit and $300 limit. After six months they gave me another $300. I don't use it often, just enough to keep it open. But, I don't think I will ever close it. I just got my first "big boy" (to me) limit and I still will keep that little $600 cap one.
