Partners Cap1 Venture went pending and he has not heard anything about it.
Even calling the number to check application status FROM Cap1 FAQ page does not take you to check the status.
He did Spark and Venture at same time... Venture went pending.
Of course the call goes overseas and they don't seem to even understand how you apply for a credit card or how they might find out the status of it!
Anyone run into this issue?
The Spark was approved back on 31st or 1st.

18 minutes later and a transfer she insists its approved but she can't give any details because she says the account information has not been created.
I stated that Cap1 usually e-mails approval and when cards ship (we received those for the spark card)
she says, I would not tell you if it was pending because it is not pending, it is approved, please wait for the cards in 7-10 days but i have no futher information at this time.
sigh... I hope so!

I think the CSR is right and you are golden. I have seen a few people on here reporting same incident. Hopefully, you have the 2nd 60k limit..

Approved 20k or 30k, then requested a CLI and got 60k..

Congrats on your profile. Very impressive. I have a few questions if you don't mind answering them. If you do, please accept my apologies in advance.
1) your CL's are extremely high, what type of income did you put down on your initial applications and did any of them request docs such as pay stubs, tax returns, etc... ???
2)in comparison to your CL's now, what did most start out like (5K, 10K, 15K, etc...) ???
3)with so many cards, did you see your scores plummet from your app sprees and than have to work them back up ???
4)approximately how much do you run thru these cards each month or year ??? I'm trying to wrap my head around how one goes about to significantly increase their CL's. Even if you have excellent credit, let's say 800+, with that amount of cards, how do you run enough thru each one to justify the need for such high CL's ??? What I'm getting at is, if you run thru, let's say 5K a year per card, and request higher CL to say 10K - 15K, and continue to run thru an average of 5K each year, how do you go about asking for a higher CL time after time after time w/o ever actually going anywhere near 30% ???
Thanks. I'm not looking to have 100 CC's, but I am looking to gather about 10 - 15 CC's total and try and get 20K - 30K+ credit limits on them.
1. 6 figures
2. the saying (higher CL's on file get higher starting CL's in the future "almost" always holds true. Years ago my partner averaged $5-$10k approvals, now I would say that is closer to $15-$20k
3. i have seen his scores drop between 5-20 points in the last month or so with the new accounts reporting (depends on scoring model!)
4. we typically spend $5-$10k/month on credit cards.
it depends on the creditor but you can't be afraid to ask for what you want, if they want proof and you can't give it, just don't send it and it will cancel out... if they AA, then move on to another lender... it's a game that they created... i just play it!
if they offer to open a card at $15k, I ask if they can do $20k, if im asking for a cli I usually ask for $25k or more... if they ask why, I usually say becuase I have that limit with other banks and if they want me to use their card more I would need the cl to be there too but most of the time they verify that they see other credit lines at that range and they say looks like you handle others at that limit, I don't see why we can't give that limit either.
They want you to use their card vs someone elses (the game they created)
why do you apply for so many accounts
Well chase, you back hotel, airline, stores... you kind of created the monster of why I need more than 1 card from you!
lowes gives me 5% off, crate and barrel give me 10% off, blah blah blah, I get them for the discount and I pay them off... most credit analyst say... true...hmmm... okay!
granted i get declined a lot, he gets declined and i even rant or get frustrated about it on here a lot but in the end those are not banks we need to currrently do business with if that's how they feel... I move on and find others that don't care!!
I mean Bank of America/FIA is one of my favorite right now but I HATE Bank of America Busiinesss!
depends on the employee you get sometimes!
