Care Credit CLI Question

I opened a Care Credit account in December 2020 and charged $6,000 on it. I paid the balance in full today. I'd like to ask for a CLI. My question is it more likely to be approved via the CLI button on the app or is it better to call and ask for an increase? This will

be my first attempt for a CLI with Synchrony.

Re: Care Credit CLI Question

I have successfully used the online request 3 times. My CL started at 4,500 and is now at 20,000.  I'm on my 2nd promo, paying it off monthly.  My card is 16 months old. I am not asking for more (Synchrony shut down stories scare me) because with this CL I can use the card on most procedures without utilization worries.

Re: Care Credit CLI Question

I exclusively use the online CLI button for all of my Synchrony cards, the less time I have to spend on the phone talking to a CSR (or waiting on hold) the better. With my Lowe's card I have been approved for 3 CLIs one right after the other, apparently I didn't ask for the max they were willing to approve me the first nor the second time. lol

I too got my card to $20,000 entirely online. Started at $1,000 and it took a bit more than 12 months. Easy peasy.Smiley Wink

@Anonymous How soon did you ask and get your first CLI?  Just got approved for 650 in may and have been needing A Lot of dental work and really would like a useful limit.

As for asking via website or calling in, in my experience with Synchrony as a whole, it made no difference... they always told me no either way!

The day after approval. That is when I setup online so that was my 1st ask. Two and a half weeks later I called in (had forgotten that phone callSmiley Embarassed) and got my 2nd CLI. Details here. Good luck! Smiley Happy
