No deal, the Chase rep told me that I have too many "inquries" recently. 11 this year, even though 4-5 are for the auto loan in a 3 day period and that was the reason for denial. Even though I have a $55K auto loan and Chase Sapphire ($5K limit with $258 on it) with CHASE! Go figure.......
Sorry to hear... You obviously can try to recon again and again! Hope to get a more friendly Analyst/UW and explain the inquires being alot of them when Auto shopping, that might help out quite a bit and they will understand that.. Now if your 50k barclay's just reported already, they might be hesitent to extend more credit to you due to a huge CL... Barclay's reports pretty quickly and I remember you saying you were approved for 50k, has it reported yet? Anyways worth another recon and explain the inquieres as car shopping.
Yes, you are correct, my Visa Black card is already reporting, even though I do not have the actual card yet, no delivered yet. Before that, my utilization was around 8%...now it is like 3% with the black card...
So...I had decided I was good where I am a few hours ago, but got an email from Amazon Credit Card about 15 mins ago...not the CHASE one, the Amazon in-store card saying I was approved for $5900 credit limit and they added to my profile....I looked and sure enough, it was there, along with a $40.00 credit for next purchase......crap is killing me...prob shoudl garden for awhile...thoughts anyone??? Seriously....I am good, got a low mortgage, 3.85% for 30 years, more than 1/2 equity, income is over $300K, other than mortgage and cars and very little in revolving credit, i am about 16% debt to income right now. Something telling me I should stop now....

Umm.. if you can't stop thinking about it and and later in the middle of the night, you jump up from bed just to app to get it over with (maybe not that way but).. Yep, then I'd suggest you apply now...
Actually, more like 13% right now....I am getting caught up in the "card" business I think....

So you applied for the Store card as well?

I'd say take it........ I am almost like you. I wanted another Amex card- Delta and I know applying in january will help in backdating, but I just couldn't wait anymore. For 13 days, all I did was obsessed about the card. Read forums and even wrote down the pros and cons of getting the card. Then saturday I had a little wine and told myself, what the heck, I need to put myself out of this misery. I apped and got approved. The waiting is not easy..
Nope, they just added to me, guess as a conciliation, and I logged on to Amazon and there it was with a $40 credit. Thinking what to do, Amazon's store card line is through Synchrony Bank. of which I have two lines, 1) GE Nautulis, $4500 and clear and 2) Ashley Furniture (opened in Oct 2014 for $3K and I owe $1300 right now, promo deal, no interest if paid off in 12months and got a $500 discount). I was looking for points more than anything else....thus...I prob should go "garden" for a year....

I can't believe Chase is refusing because of the inquiries based on some approvals here. Give it a few days and give it 1 more try. How about your history with the CSP. Are they taking that into consideration? Give it 1 more shot a few days and also tell them why you have the inquiries.
