I don't know how much money they lost on you or anything else, but can you really blame them? They suffered a loss when lending to you before and you just expect them to forget about it and give you anything. You were lucky enough to get two cards from them and could have used them for a while and possibly gotten an increase later on. Being responsible means owning up to what you've done, not trying to forget about it and getting upset when someone brings it up. I don't see how you could forget that you had a Chase card, but their system clearly still has you in it. It's your decision and you've made it, so nothing can be done in. I do suggest that you not expect immunity to scrutiny if you've caused a loss to a company. If Chase cost you money would you have been in a rush to give them anything?

Yes.
the good ole days. Really dumb. They sued me. But got nothing. Because I had nothing to get. Wasted the money. Credit was ruined for 7 years. But I just waited it out.
I hate Chase. I have hated them since before BK they closed my checking savings and cc's with no word. i had money in the bank and a strong credit file with no crazy stuff going on. I called and they said they prefer not to do business with me. I was like **bleep**. I owned a gas station and was self employed so I dont know if they just didnt like that. I had my business account with b of a at that time and they were fine with me. Now I work in the financial industry and I hear customers come in to me every day saying how chase did them wrong. They dont even accept cash deposits without ID anymore and I think they are shady. So I say to you OP good riddens. If you dont like certain banks you dont have to do business with them..There are more out there!!!

Really? You'd think they would have pursued criminal charges for that. What state?

The facts were. There was not crime. I applied for a loan. And they made the check out to me. And mailed me the check. Hence I cashed it. Bought another car. Is problem. Not the one I originally applied for. As dealer issues. Had cash in hand. I just did not repay my loan. The amount of money has nothing to do with it. Same if I did not pay my 200k mortgage. But I understand. They could not repo car as I never got it they never put lean on car. It was all their paperwork mistake too. No state. Was in army stationed in Germany at time. Like I said they did sue me. And win. Garnished wages what they could get. And they finally gave up. But remember. This was 30 yeRs ago. Fico did not really exist. And debtor laws were different. So there you go. Credit did not exist like today. A handful of gas cards. And a couple of major credit cards only. Maybe 1-10 even carried plastic. So they just wrote the entire difference off. But like I said. NO crime was committed. Otherwise I'm sure they would have came after me. But I won't be apping them for membership even after 30 years. This happened in 1984.

It may not have been called chase back then. Chase shows up on my credit reports as well but that's because the bought a bank called Associates National Bank along time ago. That bank targeted college students
yeah i think Chase had a different name at the time....
@TiggerDat wrote:I didn't burn Chase and they never give me any auto luv. I had to get my last increase from them with a HP. While I wont close the card, I will sock drawer it! I find it funny that I prequal for over the last 6 months with other cards from them, but never a CLI. I can't even PC with them, but I could accept an offer for a CSP or Slate. I think the Slate prequal has been there for over a year! So I can understand how you feel.
Chase is the only Bank i know that Doesn't have the CLI button online, if i want a CLI then i would have to call them ![]()

in the 1990'S i did a lot of bad stuff with my credit and all of the credit card accounts i had at the time "8 accounts in total, Visas and MasterCards" were Charge-Off , i thought about applying for BK but was told by the 4 Lawyers i spoke to that i would only qualify for Chapter 13 and NOT Chapter 7 like i wanted it, i did NOT want Chapter 13 because i would still have to pay everything back so i decided NOT to apply for BK at all and just waited it out, in 2009 since i have a Banking relationship with BOA i decided to apply for their BOA SECURED credit card and gave them a $300 Deposit and 30 days later BOA returned the $300 to me saying i Do NOT qualify for their SECURED credit card at this time, So i decided to continue using DEBIT, in 2013 BOA kept sending me Pre-Approved applications for their SECURED $99/500 Card and i did NOT want to fill it out thinking i was going to be Rejected again but after they sent me the application 3 times i decided to give it a shot and was approved and after i had the BOA SECURED credit card for 9 months then i went crazy applying for everything including Chase who i did NOT remember was One of the Banks i burned, maybe Chase had a different name at that time, Anyways, now my Credit Report is 100% clean and i am planning on keeping it like that...![]()
