Well this is a new one for me with Citi. This card has not really grown I had one increase since opening card
So not sure I want a HP lol
I get that message every time I ask for a CLI. Hasn't been worth it to take the HP for me, so here I sit.
I had this every time on my Custom Cash until last month.
I get soft pull / or no credit pull increases every six months on both my Citi cards. The CLI's are usuallyt only between $1500 - $3000...
but they're steady & consistant. I usually run with zero balances, paying in full before the bill cuts..... but usually have higher spend for the month or two before the statement ends to show more recent & higher usage. (but pay in full and have a zero balance when I request the increase) I never a hard pull for CLI and never a declination on a CLI request.

Hmmm, interesting @Jnbmom. I don't think I've ever gotten this with CITI. They've been very good with soft pull CLIs for me. What is your credit limit on this account and what is your total credit limit across all CITI cards, including their cobranded cards like Best Buy and Macy's? And how much of your CL do you use on it every month/six months cycle?
My AA card 10,700 my Costco 1200 I have 2 Macy Amex cards 25K limits.
i used my AA heavy in the beginning but I have not used in a few months .i just never saw that wording before and don't want to waste an HP for either a denial or a low increase .

I don't blame you @Jnbmom. I dislike HPs for the most part also. $10,700 with the AA card, $11,900 with CITI cards total, or even $61,900 including the co-branded ones doesn't seem excessive, depending on income/debt-to-income. I am wondering if the decline in recent usage was more the factor in this one. It would be interesting to see more data points.
