Re: Consider NASA...questions

well I just app'ed on Monday, foolish mistake for not remembering it was Columbus day and the banks/CUs were closed, and found out today they denied me. Called in and asked, and they said because of BK back in 2012. So from what I understand, I should send them a secure message for a recon, right?

as long as you have 24 clean months of reestablished credit post discharge then recon by all means

Ok, thanks for the advice/help. I haven't had any lates, collections, missed payments, or baddies on my record since the BK, so hopefully they can see and acknowlege that and give me a shot. And at this point, I don't have anything to lose, so here's hoping!

You are!  Ditto, the only reason I app'd for this card was to use the CL as a pry bar in connection with my other lenders.  I am about to go to to San Juan in January, so I will probably show NASA some love and charge the hotel to the card.  After that, I will just put a misc bill to charge each month and forget about it.  Definitely a SD card.

Re: Consider NASA...questions

Is everyone being asked for paystubs or is it depending on how high the income is?

Also, how long after my membership is approved can I wait to apply for the cc for it to still be a soft pull? My membership was just approved but if I wait til next Wed, my utilization should be better

Re: Consider NASA...questions

The credit line I got is > 50% of my income.  They never asked for any verification.

YMMV, of course.
