Sent a SM this week inquiring when and how I will hear from their recon committee - received a response that it could take WEEKS - I thought they met each week- keeping fingers crossed

The review committee meets infrequently during each week.  You're in the same boat as others who would have requested the same re-review.  So, "weeks" sounds about right, just think how many are in queue before they can even get to yours.  I wouldn't be surprised if it takes 3-4 weeks.

Card came today!! Happy dance!

Applied 9/23

Approved 9/24

Funded 9/25

Membership card around 10/3, pin about 10 days ago, credit score letter about 5 days ago.

Congrats!!!  So what card picture did you end of going with?

I forget what it's called, but it looks like the surface of a moon-like object seen from a satellite or something.  It looks pretty cheap.  The edge already scratched some of the image off, and some of the words on the back I tried scratching at with my fingernail, and they came right off too. Haha!

I went with the space shuttle launch, and mine is like that too lol.  Maybe after they start getting an boost in revenue from all the new members using their cards they'll upgrade the quality.

Mine seems perfect in every way, at the end of the day it's a loan on a piece of plastic (not a mirror IMO), plus it's not meant to be encased in glass.  Different strokes for different folks I suppose.

We have received your application and will contact you shortly. You may return to nasafcu  and login to view the status of your application and communicate with our Member Services Team while we process your application.

At this point, you'll just need to let the application review process take it's course, no one here can tell you for sure.  As per the notification you received, just check the status periodically for its progress.

I'm pretty sure I've read you comment about how much you appreciate metal and clear cards, for similar reasons why we're displeased with this appearance of this one.

Actually, I'm pretty sure you stand incorrect skigirl916.  Let's provide you with the orginal link/thread so you can re-review the comments that were posted.   I never made such mention as you state above.  So, before posting inaccurate information it's suggested to have all the facts in order.

applied this morning and got an email just now asking for my social security card and ultility bill. do i upload it and thats it or do i have to fax it ? i was going to just send them my passport instead but felt maybe i should not play with them and just send what they asked. Now im just wondering if i tell them i uploaded it or just sit and wait ?

You should be able to upload them through their portal.  Be sure to upload what was requested via email or it will further delay the processing of your application.  Once you upload the docs, they will automatically receive a notification of these pending items for them to review.  If it has been several days and you have not seen anything change, then just give them a call.

Mine were all SP, even for the CC. Even if I would've incurred the HP for CC, it would be well-worth it.  Some folks have reported mixed results on SP and HP depending on where they were in the application or review process, regardless whether they had an established membership or not.  So it's one of those YEMV situations and maybe yours ends up being SP.
