Does BofA send out emails when a card is approved?

Hi all! 

I applied for a BofA card today (platinum I think?) for the BT offer. It went to review. I went and checked the status right away but no update. I just tried to check again, and it says the info I'm looking for could not be found at this time. 

I might call tomorrow if it's giving me the same message still. But if it is approved, do they send an approval email or will it pop up in online banking pretty quick? I can't remember how that worked with my cash rewards card.

Also odd, I just checked Experian, and I don't have an inquiry.

Inquiries don't always show up right away.

I can't answer your other question though because I have never had or even applied for one of their cards. I'm assuming you would get some kind of email though.

I received an email when my Cash Rewards was approved after going into review.

You will get an email with the subject "Your Credit Card Application Decision"  that they're happy to let you know that your credit card application was approved.   

There won't be any info SL or APR info but if you already have an online BoA account you should be able to log in and find that out in 2 days.

UPDATE: I received an email midnight on 04/12.  "Your credit card is on the way". 

I applied for a Bank of America credit card on April 6. It went into review. I checked on the 8th, it was still in review. I checked online this morning, April 9th - it was approved! 

I have not received an email from them yet. I don't know if it shows up in your online banking immediately because I don't have a bank account with BofA. HTH

It might awhile. My application was under review for 2 weeks. It might take 4 weeks I think. 
You can call backdoor number and talk to rep

Can I ask:

1. Which of the BoA cards did you apply for?
2. What were your FICO scores at the time of the app?
3. How many open accounts in the last year did you open at the time of the app?

Just curious what your DPs were.

Hi there.... the answer is YES.

I got the 7/10 message and a link to check the status after applying online. Two days later I got an email stating the application was approved. They didn't state the SL but I know it has to be at least $5000 because it is a Visa Signature. A few days ago they notified that the card has shipped and to look for a white envelope from Wilmington, DE.

I'm in the same situation too, received the approval email few days later and waiting for the white envelope! 

You did make an interesting point regarding SL given Visa Signature. It'll be sweet to get 5K SL.
