Thank you for the link. I gave them a call and was told I needed to go to verify.syf.com and complete that and then call them back. The rep I spoke with told me I had 24 hours to complete that step. Will do it today and see what happens.

Excellent news! If you were flat out denied then they would have told you that on the phone and adivsed you to wait for the letter in the mail explaining why.

The Credit Solutions group doesn't process reconfiguration attempts,  as @Jnbmom  mentioned upthread Synchrony does not recon.  Their primary usefulness to cardholders is their ability to approve CLIs that boost a CL past $10K. 

 

The Lowe's card is an exception to Synchrony's general and reasonably firm rule that the maximum CL a card can grow to via online CLI requests is $10K.

I went through the verification process, got the PIN and called Synchrony as I was told by the second rep. I'm pleased to say I was approved for $2,000! Thank you to everyone for your input and suggestions. Much appreciated.
