Email offer to apply for shell drive for five card

I got an email to apply and it had an expiration date of July 27th. As I am rebuilding, I thought this would be a good in with Citi Cards. I applied and it said congratulations and that a citi representative will call me within two days. Any experience with this card?

Congrats. What limit?/. its a gas card. but it will help your scores since you are in rebuild phase. mostly low limits. but if you buy gas at shell. unless you get the mastercard or visa version. you do get a decent discount using that card over cash. and no credit pricing. you are correct. it will allow citi to see your history for future apps.

I actually got this card in the last few months, it prompted me to call in and was granted $800 SL. I haven't used it yet, so can't comment on my experience with it. I'm pretty sure CLI requests are hard pulls. With our gas prices now over $4/ gallon, I've been adding gas cards for the additional bonus discount and no credit pricing like taxi mentioned.

Congratulations on the approval! (Having to wait on a call from a rep is new to me, though). Check your emails.

I recently got the card as well with an $800 limit. Shell is my main gas station and so I use this card along with my Fuel Rewards card (3 cents off /gal) which is also connected to my grocery store rewards card. It works out well to use this at the pump and its treated as a cash purchase. It my state there are price differences between credit and cash purchases. Saves me money and a trip inside to pay.
