I stopped acquiring credit cards and requesting CLs a while back. Five cards is enough for me to manage. Aggregate CL on credit cards: $99,800. Unlike income, goal was to stay under 6 figures.
P.S. I do have an AMEX NPSL charge card as well but, that doesn't impact official CL.

I don't know if I'll ever be without a car payment. Maybe if I hit the lottery but I don't think that will happen either. I've put large downpayments on my cards before. I believe the biggest was about $5K. I wonder how much they will take on a card?
I want my AMEX BCP to be up around $15,000 so I can use auto pay once a month like I do with my other cards without having my util go above 10-15%. I am fine with the CL on my other cards. I might ask Discover for another in a couple of months to bring it up to $15,000. After that I am done until I app for the CSP in January.

Awesome goal
We should have a contest of productive goals like yours!
Bravo

The most I was allowed to use paying with a CC was $2500 for a down payment last month. Most dealerships have a cap on how much you can charge to your credit card. CC companies are catching on and trying to limit the rewards.

T_T, just curious, what was the highest number of cards?

With a few cards, yes.
My limit with Belk is $5k, and since they don't sell bedding or furniture (at least in my area) there's really no reason for me to request the limit to be any higher.
I'm also pleased with my $15.3k CL on my NFCU MasterCard; I only use it occasionally, and I feel (personally) that it would be 'pushing it' for me to request a CLI on it due to my modest income and seldom use of the card.
I would like just a little more on several of my other cards, but I suspect within the next year or so I'll be at the point that I'll have enough, again for someone with my profile.
UncleB, a little off topic, but I have the Wally and Sams Mastercards, and wondering if you knew how high their CL's can go?
I've seen several people on here with Wal-Mart and Sam's Club MasterCards with limits of $25k. It's possible to go even higher, but at some point Synchrony will ask you to send over proof of income (I've read of this happening for some when their credit line gets to around $35k, but YMMV).
If you have a good TU score $25k seems to be fairly easy to reach with Synchrony, but the issue most people have is since Synchrony issues so many different branded cards (MC/V and PLCC) it's easy to hit their maximum exposure of $100k really quick if you have large credit limits.
I've actually read quite a few threads where people speak of calling to lower their credit limit on certain Synchrony cards to "free up" that much to be available for a different card (i.e. lower their Wal-Mart MasterCard limit to make more available for their Sam's Club MasterCard, or vice versa).
Hope this helps!
Thanks B

I'll make sure I try it on the last day of the month. That's the day they're most flexible, haha.
